I call it meditation. Just a way to clear your mind and calm yourself. For me it's writing. I usually do it when I'm feeling stressed about something. Just curious to know what other people use to find that calming center.What is your most effective way to clear your mind and balance yourself?
One way is to use the earth to balance yourself. Wrap your arms around a big tree and and release your stress, quietly or find a tree away from people and yell into it. I know that sounds crazy but the bark of the tree act as an emotional absorber.
the other way is to either put your hands, feet or both into freshly turned over soil. You will be suprised how good it feels. It almost sucks the stress out of your body

I write a poem, play the piano(or tin whistle, or recorder. Any instrument in reach really) start a new book which I never finish, pet a cat(the purr of a cat actually has healing capabilities!) ride a horse, go out for a brisk run, read a VERY enthralling book(Lord of the Rings works wonders) Praying nearly always helps, think about things I like, read an encyclopedia article about people who have it worse than me, so on.
I do what I call 'Loud music therapy'. Crank it up for a while, and after all feels OK.
Most people would say something like yoga, but I say to just simply lay down and read or watch a good T.V. show. This is fun and sometimes if you are doing something that other people say work but that don't, well, they just don't. So if it's something you like it's not like your forcing yourself to relax which definitely doesn't work.
Everyone should make vasts efforts to recondition themselves, only then will their will have a chance at being free.
Lose all desire? I dunno.
writing isnt really mind clearing. im sure somethin like yoga is more likely. yoga is great, u shud try it :)
