I always have anxeity come night time, usually right before i go to bed, i dont know why. I get a raceing mind, whole body tightens up and all that, and sometimes it gets hard to breathe, i dont know whats wrong with me though, and once i do fall asleep after like 3 hours of trying, i always have dreams like car accidents or some stupid things like that, what sorta things can i do,eat or drink or anything really to prevent bad dreams or any dreams at all and just have a nice easy dream/sleep and dont get me wrong i actually am tired at night but cant fall asleep due to racing mind, anyone? Thanks!!!What Sorts Of Things Can I Do To Clear My Mind At Night?
Reading really helps my racing thoughts....it forces your attention on one topic, and usually makes you tired after awhile. Deep breathing works for some people, but I can't say I've ever had a lot of luck with it. You're supposed to breathe in through your nose, hold it, and breathe out through your mouth. Might be worth a try! Listening to soft, relaxing music is always good...try to really concentrate on it. Right before you fall asleep, tell yourself you are going to have good dreams. I know it sounds weird, but you can actually learn to control your dreams after awhile. As soon as you wake up, write down your dream in a notebook by your bed. The more you are ';in touch'; with them the more control you will have. Good luck! What Sorts Of Things Can I Do To Clear My Mind At Night?
The dumbest thing helps me fall asleep. I think about my dream house. Each room I invision in my mind what size, furniture, colors, I never get very far because I fall asleep.

Try something you like to think about. Maybe a dog that you own but has amazing abilities. Reading helps too. If you have been awake too long get up and have a glass of milk. Avoid caffeine after supper, Avoid naps during the day as this makes bedtime more difficult. Make your bed really comfy try getting one of those down matress pads. They feel like heaven. Do not worry about things before bed. Remember worrying never solved anything. Oh ya get off this computor. It is time for bed LOL
ive got the same problem and i have mood swings. im not sure what i have or what you have but you shoud try talking to a doctor, they might be able to give you something.
I totally agree with the first poster. Reading, for some reason, really helps me. Read something uplifting, peaceful, and positive. Some chamomile, scullcap, or valerian tea can also help relax you so that you can sleep well. Don't have TV in your room. Have your room clean and orderly. Know that all in the universe is as it should be, though we may not understand how or why. Learning to meditate can also help.
Write out whatever is on your mind. That helps me.
