...no...
...shes always on my mind...Can you clear you mind of all thought and contemplate the existence of nothing?
If you're contemplating the existence of nothing, then your mind isn't clear of all thought :p
If you mean, is it possible to enter a state of meditative silence, undisturbed by thoughts or the outside world, then yes, it is.
If you are wondering what 'nothing' might refer to, then it all depends on your frame of reference, but I would suggest reading a book on Jean Paul Sartre's ontology. He says that 'nothingness' is a rational concept that makes it possible to pick out where one object ends and another begins (that is, it makes it possible for there to be objects at all) but it only exists in the mind. Can you clear you mind of all thought and contemplate the existence of nothing?
Though very hard to do i have tried to look at the existence of nothing and it always leaves me confused and dumbfounded, you cannot contemplate nothing because then you wouldnt be thinking at all, also because you have never experienced nothing and therefor are inable to contemplate its existence.
Try to think about what your mind was doing before you were concieved, i bet you cant do it. But its okay, neither can I.
It's like a paradigm.
You have to not think about anything to be nothing. When you look for it becomes something.
Supposedly, if you meditated properly, you would cease to exist temporarily.
