After the embarrassment, you can't stop thinking about it for weeks, and it kind of pisses you off that you actually did it so you've got no one to blame but yourself. How to clear your mind after an unforgettable embarrassment?
Wow, i know what ya mean. I think the best thing to do is to face it. It's not going to go away from ignoring it, but somehow facing it gives you more power. Once you have more power, you don't have to worry about it anymore because YOU know it's in the PAST, and you don't ever have to go through it again. It's over. How to clear your mind after an unforgettable embarrassment?
Our minds keep going over it, trying to make it turn out right--but it's always the same way it happened. Try writing down what led up to the embarrassing action, and then rewrite it to make it positive. Write down different scenarios Write down what you were trying to do; how you misinterpreted the situation; maybe try being an observer of yourself and see if you feel sympathy as an observer. How would a really cool person recover if they'd done it.-----Just some suggestions to hopefully get it out of your system. It will fade...
Admit the mistake to someone. Fess up how bad you feel and how embarrassing it was.
Try to stay busy and not think about it too much. When you can't help thinking about it, try to imagine how you would have wanted to handle it, or how you would have wanted it to turn out.
