Where is one place that I can go and relax and clear my mind from everything?

I really need a place to do that, and I can't do that at home. It has to be elsewhere.

Any ideas?

Thanks! Where is one place that I can go and relax and clear my mind from everything?
If you're close to a beach, it's a good place to relax and be with nature. Not necessarily the public beach like Huntington Beach in SoCal but a beach by a ravine or something like that. I know a place in Marin County in NorCal. It's called Point Reyes National Seashore. There's no swimming, so it's very limiting. I like old libraries, or a good 1/2 Price bookstore. Also parks - the kind with lots of trees, like an arboretum. A gym is also good - exercise is great for the mind - zone out on a treadmill with a good playlist.

There's also the zoo and any local history museums (most have ';free'; days during the week';.
libraries are good, everyone is quiet there so you can think in peace, bring some paper and a pen and express yourself on that paper, with a poem or a paragraph about life or something. usually i go to the fields near my house, no one ever goes there and its away from all signs of humanity, sunny days are the best for thinking i find.
Beaches are great, mountain tops are great, out in the middle of a corn field can be great if that's all you've got ... just get somewhere alone, where you can think and not be bothered.

And bring a book, something that will take you somewhere else. Tolkien, or something.

Good luck!
beach or clifftop, if you're near the shore

a corner of a park, if you're in a built-up area

someplace a little way off the path in a woodland area (but not too far, especially at night)

local library? nearby cafe?

it all depends on where you live, really
is there a spa near you? soaking in a hot tub is relaxing.
