How do I clear my mind of all my stresses so I can sleep better?

I do yoga at a local gym but i dont have my mat lol and it would be weird to do it without one. I'm upset and stressed and i cant sleep. Any suggestions?How do I clear my mind of all my stresses so I can sleep better?
i have the same problem. im very restless and cant sleep. i cant get to sleep and i cant stay asleep. i but my earphones on at night and listen to music. the vibrations settle my body. it gives me something to focus on and then eventually fall asleep.i read with a book light cuz after awhile it gets tiring and i just fall asleep. watch tv in the dark it causes my eyes to feel heavy. i stretch and do breathing patterns. i hope this helpsHow do I clear my mind of all my stresses so I can sleep better?
I know you've heard of it before, try meditation. Try a few or several places, or read some literature on it. I really was hesitant about believing in it for quite a while, but my stress and anxiety were really bad, and my meds didn't seem to help much. My suggestion is to customize a way of meditating that you feel comfortable with, and actually works for you. It may take a few tries. Try to take steps, breathing, and ways of relaxing your mind from all these different places, and I'm sure you can find one that works for you. I've been through a few books and a few appointments referred by my psychiatrist. After really giving it half a try it started to work little by little, it just takes practice and more practice, and you can get into that mode of relaxing quicker and quicker. I was a real non-believer, now I just use the techniques I picked up along the way. Good luck.

Find a soothing music and listen to it. Close your eyes and deep breath to relax your self.





Another tip is that, use socks when sleeping for it is 30% more effective.
Sleep late, when you are so tired and you fall asleep the moment your head hits the pillow. Try to leave the windows open.
reading always does it for me....i can't read in bed. But if i want to get to sleep, it works every time! :)
take a sleeping pill and pray
