I usually get very dirty random images to go through my mind.
Now, when I meditate those go away.
I cannot meditate everytime the images appear.
So, what can I do to keep them out of my mind while I'm not meditating.....?
Thanks for your input ( a professional answer will be chosen as best answer ).How does one clear their mind while not meditating?
No, do not block these images. The more you try to force them out the more they will be there. Just try to accept and slowly, they will go away. I don't know when they will go away but the more you accept them, the soomer. Be easy on yourself and learn to let go.How does one clear their mind while not meditating?
you should implement the same factors that you do when your meditate. accept the thought then force yourself to get back on track accept it and move on!
you could mentaly say to yourself!
'; dirty image i see you thank you now i'm going to finish doing my task!';
yes it will get reduntant after you do this a few times but then the images my start to reduce or you may not see them because of your focus on that task!
best wishes!

You choose whats in your mind, so you chose to see those random pictures. Nobody puts things into your mind, only you. Stop idle chatter of your mind and focus as you would doing a jigsaw or algebra. And focus on nothing but your breathing first, then close noises, then distant noises. Its easy if you practice.
The only piece of advice I can give, albeit a simple soultion, would be to focus your mind on something else. If you're focusing and concentrating on something you're not giving your mind the opportunity to wander and subsequently you will stop the random images. Hope this helps.
